The brief was simple: use paper to drape a dress form. The conventional reading would treat paper as fabric — cut, gathered, sewn into garment shape. This work refuses that translation. Instead it treats paper as paper: a material with its own structural intelligence, its own preferences for where it folds, where it stands, where it catches light. Squares and rectangles, cut and arranged, were allowed to determine the form rather than the form determining them. The result lives closer to sculpture than to garment, closer to architecture than to drape. The piece is what the material wanted to become.
